Tracking scripts such as <a href=\"https:\/\/trackboxx.com\/en\/glossary\/gtag-js-global-site-tag\/\" data-type=\"glossar\" data-id=\"3875\">gtag.js<\/a>The cookies, pixels or other technologies are loaded when the page is accessed and send information directly from the user environment to analysis or marketing services such as Google Analytics or Google Ads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Typical features of client-side tracking:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Collection of data directly in the browser<\/strong> via JavaScript scripts or <a href=\"https:\/\/trackboxx.com\/en\/what-are-cookies-and-what-are-the-differences\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"1965\">Cookies<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fast implementation<\/strong> by inserting tracking snippets into the page source code<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Direct interaction<\/strong> with the user device (e.g. recording of clicks, scrolls, forms)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Susceptible to tracking blockers<\/strong> or browser settings that block scripts or cookies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Client-side tracking is the classic and most widespread form of tracking. <a href=\"https:\/\/trackboxx.com\/en\/glossary\/web-analysis\/\" data-type=\"glossar\" data-id=\"3817\">Website Analytics <\/a>and in the <a href=\"https:\/\/trackboxx.com\/en\/glossary\/google-tag-manager-gtm\/\" data-type=\"glossar\" data-id=\"3873\">Google Tag Manager<\/a> the standard approach.
