Do Not Track (DNT) is a function in the web browser with which users can signal to websites that they do not wish to be tracked or analysed. If users activate "Do Not Track", their browsers send a request to website operators and advertising networks to refrain from recording and storing their surfing behaviour.
However, DNT is not mandatory - compliance depends on the respective provider.
