What is the difference between Google Analytics and Trackboxx?

Google Analytics is a service provided by Google that is used on millions of websites. The service is 100% free of charge for the end user, as Google evaluates and processes the data for its own offers, and with Trackboxx we offer a GDPR-compliant tracking analysis that processes and visualises your visitor statistics. This is done completely without the use of cookies and without storing and processing personal data. In order to be able to offer this service, the use of Trackboxx is subject to a fee.

How does Trackboxx tracking work?

Trackboxx's web analysis works 100% without the use of cookies and without storing personal data; we use the visitor's IP and some other parameters (no personal data) once and generate a "hash" from this to "track" the visitor during their visit to the website. This hash is stored for a maximum of 24 hours and then automatically deleted. It is therefore not possible to see a visitor's history or to decrypt an IP from the hash, and we only store the most necessary data such as visitor numbers, page views, origin, bounce rate and end devices. Hash & decryption in detail: We create 2 hash values. User Hash: Signature Hash + IP + User Agent + SiteID + Current DayPage Hash: Signature Hash + IP + User Agent + SiteID + Hostname + Path + Current DayThe signature hash is renewed every day to ensure that the data can no longer be decrypted at a later date.

Do I still need a consent banner?

Firstly, we would like to mention that this is not legal advice. One of the great advantages of Trackboxx is that, in our view, no separate consent via opt-in (consent banner) is required. we are aware that one or two data protection experts disagree and argue that Trackboxx stores and processes the IP address of the visitor. here is a brief statement from our data protection officer: "The storage of personal data does not necessarily require consent. This is also not derived from the TTDSG. The TTDSG deals with cookies etc. in § 25 TTDSG and Art. 6 GDPR provides the legal basis. The legitimate interest should be applicable to Trackboxx, which "only" processes the IP address, namely to anonymise it or to pseudonymise it for the duration of the hash validity."

Which plan do I need?

The Basic tariff for €5.00 per month includes a maximum of one website and a total of 25,000 page views.this tariff will be sufficient for many websites.assuming 100 visitors per day, with each visitor opening an average of 3 subpages, this would be a total of 9,000 page views.additional features are available in the Business tariffs. These include e-commerce tracking, the Google Search Console, 10 websites and 10 users, and there are no extra costs if you exceed the maximum possible page impressions!

What is the difference between the Free plan and the 30-day free trial?

The Free package is a completely free option for using Trackboxx on your website.

In contrast to the paid models, the Free package is limited to a maximum of 1000 pageviews and the following functions are not included:

Live visitors

 	reporting
 	Outbound links
 	Conversions / target projects
 	E-commerce tracking
 	UTM sources
 	Public dashboard
 	support

The 30-day trial version can be used with any package and therefore includes all functions. After the 30 days, your account will be deactivated and you will need to select a paid package to continue using it.

No payment information needs to be entered for the 30-day trial.

What happens if I reach my page-view limit?

You will not incur any automatic additional costs if you exceed the maximum number of page views. If you exceed your maximum pageviews in the free tariff (1000), a corresponding message will be displayed on your dashboard. Further statistics will no longer be saved and displayed if you exceed this limit, and a corresponding message will also be displayed on your dashboard for all paid plans. However, your statistics will continue to be recorded for 24 hours so that you can react accordingly, and you have the option of either upgrading your subscription or purchasing a corresponding Pageview package.

How do I add the tracking code to my website?

The tracking code will be displayed in your dashboard as soon as you have created a website. Copy the code and then paste it into the header of your website before the closing .you can find detailed documentation in our help centre.for many systems such as WordPress or JTL, there are official plugins for integration.if you need help, please contact us.

What happens if I delete my account?

In principle, you have the option of cancelling your paid subscription and your traffic data will still be stored by us. (max. 6 months)If you do not want this, you will also find an option in your user account to delete your entire Trackboxx account including all data.

What does payment processing via Paddle mean?

Accepted Answer

Trackboxx uses Paddle to process payments and sell its plans. As a result, Paddle.com appears as the payee on invoices and PayPal transactions.

Are visitors from known bots included in the statistics?

Accepted Answer

At Trackboxx we use dynamic bot and spambot detection, which means that all common bots such as Google, Bing, Yahoo etc. are not counted. We also block all bots from e.g. SEO tools such as Semrush, Sistrix or ahrefs so that they are not included in your statistics. our system also recognises known "spam sources" and accesses corresponding external data to ignore such traffic. this means that 99% of the numbers you see in your dashboard are real visitors.
