Onboarding starts immediately after installation and activation.

Step 1: Enter your tracking ID
Hier gibst du deine Webseiten Tracking ID ein – diese findest du indem du im Trackboxx Dashboard unter Einstellungen (Zahnrad) > Webseiten klickst. Hinter den angelegten Webseiten findest du den Button „Tracking Code“.
When you click on it, the tracking code opens, which contains an ID at the end. This has the following format:
TB-XXXXXXX
Step 2: Display the statistics in your WordPress dashboard (optional)
If you want to display the statistics in your WordPress dashboard, you can also enter the link to your public URL.

Step 3: Optout integration (optional)
If you would like to integrate an opt-out into your privacy policy, follow the instructions in step 3. You will find further options for integrating the opt-out HERE:
Manual integration of the tracking script with WordPress
Generally, there are several ways to include the script with WordPress. Here are some options:
installation via Header.php
Manual installation in the header file of your theme. Important! For this you need a child theme, so that the file is not overwritten with the next theme update again.
installation via theme functions
Many themes offer their own options for integrating code into the header. Well-known examples are e.g. the Avada theme, the Divi or the Enfold theme.
implementation on Astra theme
As the Astra theme is now one of the most popular WordPress themes, we would like to list it separately here. With Astra, you can install the "Astra Hooks" extension and then integrate the code directly into the header as a hook.
implementation via plug-ins
Of course, it is also possible to integrate the tracking script via appropriate WordPress plugins.
Simply google "WordPress Tracking Script Plugin" here. There are a variety of options here.
