Why Trackboxx no longer blocks the "Do Not Track" signal from now on
(and what that means for you)

- New standard: In future, Trackboxx will record page views even if "Do Not Track" (DNT) is activated in the browser.
- More data, same privacy: IPs are anonymised immediately, no cookies requiring consent are set and no data is sold to third parties.
2 What will change in concrete terms?
- So far: If the DNT signal is activated - no tracking.
- New: DNT signals are ignored; all visits and interactions are recorded. On average, this yields up to 15 % more measured sessions and therefore more precise KPIs.
3. what is "Do Not Track" actually about?
- Origin: DNT should protect users from cross-site tracking and data sales.
- Technical: The browser sends a header (DNT: 1). Websites canbut do not have to react to them.
- Legal situation: GDPR & TTDSG do not oblige compliance with the signal - the decisive factors are anonymisation and lack of disclosure.
4. why we no longer block DNT
- No 3rd party tracking - Trackboxx uses data exclusively for your analysis.
- Strong anonymisation - IP addresses are shortened before storage, no cookies are used
- More complete statistics - more sessions → valid conversion rates, robust A/B tests.

6. outlook: customised scripts for special data protection requirements
We are working to ensure that when you add a new website Automatically create a customised embedding script on request that takes DNT signals into account again. Trackboxx therefore remains flexible without compromising on standard performance.
