The bounce rate describes the proportion of users who leave a website after accessing it. only a single page again without clicking or performing another action.
A high bounce rate is not always negative On informative pages - such as blog articles or glossary entries - it can be normal or even desirable if the user finds what they are looking for directly. On transactional pages, such as landing pages or product pages (see also: E-commerce tracking), a high bounce rate on the other hand can be due to a lack of relevance, poor usability or an unclear Call-to-action point out.
The bounce rate is a key performance indicator in the Website Analytics and is often used together with Sessions and Conversions analysed.
