A session refers to a user's continuous visit to a website. It begins with the first page view and ends when a certain period of inactivity is exceeded - usually after 30 minutes without any action.
Several page views, interactions or conversions can take place during a session. In the Website Analytics the session is a central unit of measurement for evaluating user behaviour and for calculating key figures such as the bounce rate or the conversion rate.
