The Google Search Console update was installed tonight.
It is now possible again to connect your own site with Trackboxx to the Google Search Console so that the data can be imported and displayed.
As announced, a paid extension must now be booked for this. This costs €5 per month and can be ordered via your settings (cogwheel top right) > Google Search Console.
Why does this function cost extra?
Our original idea was to offer this feature as standard in every paid account.
After a few weeks, however, we realised that this feature is hardly used on the one hand, but on the other hand - when it is used - it requires a massive amount of "(server) performance".
The reason for this is that an extremely large amount of data from the Search Console is sometimes synchronised via the Google interface and our servers have more to do than expected. Furthermore, this data is of course also stored by us, which also incurs costs.
Originally, this feature was supposed to be removed completely, but then there were various users who wanted this function in their dashboard.
That's why we finally decided in favour of this type of implementation.
