Update 14 November 2022: Google Search Console integration

We rolled out the update to our Google Search Console integration overnight.

You can now reconnect your website in Trackboxx to Google Search Console to import and view your data.

As announced, this now requires a paid add-on costing €5 per month. You can activate it under Settings (the cog icon in the top-right corner) > Google Search Console.

Why is there an extra charge for this feature?

We originally planned to include this feature in every paid account.

After a few weeks, though, we found that very few people used it, yet it consumed a lot of server resources whenever they did.

Some websites sync very large amounts of Search Console data through Google’s API, putting more load on our servers than we expected. We also store this data, which adds to the cost.

We initially considered removing the feature altogether, but several users told us they wanted to keep it in their dashboard.

That’s why we decided to offer it as an optional paid add-on.
