The Trackboxx app for Shopify lets you track visitors to your store without cookies and in compliance with the GDPR. Setup takes just a few minutes.

What you need before you start

• a Shopify store
• a Trackboxx account. If you do not have one yet, create one for free at trackboxx.com becomes useful.

Step 1: Install the app from the Shopify App Store

Open the Trackboxx app in the Shopify App Store and click Install app. If Shopify asks you to, log in to your store.

Step 2: Confirm permissions and choose a plan

Shopify shows you which permissions the app needs. Confirm by clicking Install. Then choose your plan. You can start with the free plan and switch at any time. Paid plans are billed through your Shopify invoice.

Step 3: Enter your TB ID

Your TB-ID (tracking ID) tells Trackboxx which account your store data belongs to.

1. Open your Trackboxx dashboard and copy your TB-ID.
2. Open the Trackboxx app in your Shopify admin.
3. Enter the TB-ID in the settings and save.

Step 4: Enter your custom store domain (only if needed)

If your store is accessible via a custom domain (for example, www.your-store.com) rather than via your-store.myshopify.com, also enter that public address in the app settings. This allows Trackboxx to attribute visits to your store correctly. If you use the standard Shopify address, skip this step.

Done: Check that it works

Open your store in a new browser tab. After a few minutes, the visit should appear in your Trackboxx dashboard. Trackboxx will then automatically collect your store analytics data. You do not need to add anything else.
