Each page that this visitor opens. Plans are based on this figure.
Both count visitors. The difference is who can see the figures and how much you learn about your visitors. Drag the slider to compare.

No programming skills needed. If you can copy text into your website, you can install Trackboxx.
Create an account and add your website, with no payment details required.
Copy the tracking code from your dashboard into the header, or use a plugin for WordPress, JTL, Shopware, Shopify or ePages.
Figures appear in your dashboard from the first visit onwards.
You can use Trackboxx anywhere you can add code to the header — for example, with TYPO3, Joomla or website builders such as Jimdo and Wix, depending on your website-builder plan. You can find step-by-step guides in the Help centre.
Trackboxx does not use cookies. The person responsible for data protection at Trackboxx cites legitimate interest under Article 6 GDPR as the legal basis. In our view, Trackboxx does not require separate opt-in consent — and therefore does not require a cookie banner.
This is not legal advice. Other services on your website may still require consent. If in doubt, ask your data protection officer.
Plans are based on your monthly page views. Use the calculator to find the right fit for your website.

No. Trackboxx counts in the background and displays the figures in your dashboard. If you still want to share your figures, you can embed a public dashboard in your website using an iframe; this is not included in the Free plan.
Yes, with the Free plan: it costs nothing and includes 1,000 page views per month. Beyond that, no further data is stored and no charges arise. You can also try all features for 30 days without providing payment details.
A visitor is a person who opens your website. Each page they view is a page view. One visitor who reads three pages therefore generates three page views.
Register, add the code or install the plugin. From then on, your dashboard shows visitors, page views, traffic sources and devices. No visitor counter can retrospectively record figures from before it was installed.
In our view, no: Trackboxx does not use cookies and uses a hash that changes daily to recognise visitors; separate opt-in consent is not required for this. This is not legal advice — other services on your website may still require consent. If in doubt, ask your data protection officer.
Plugins are available for WordPress, JTL, Shopware, Shopify and ePages. For other systems, add the tracking code to the header. With website builders such as Jimdo or Wix, this depends on whether your plan allows custom code.
Known bots are not. Trackboxx dynamically detects bots and spam: search-engine bots such as those from Google or Bing, and crawlers from SEO tools, are not counted.
