After a quieter spell for updates in the second quarter of 2023, we’re kicking off 2024 with something big.
We’ve been busy behind the scenes, and a major Trackboxx update is coming in the next few days.

The update will go live on 24 January 2024 at 11 am.

1. A redesigned dashboard with clearer data views

Alongside the new look and many smaller improvements, here are the main changes:

  • A new “Pageviews per visitor” widget
  • The “Goals” widget now appears among the top dashboard modules
  • A new “Channels” widget groups traffic sources into five categories: Social, UTM, Search, Direct and Referral. You can still see individual sources under “Show all”.
  • Updated navigation: outbound links, Google Search Console data and e-commerce tracking now have their own entries in the left-hand menu.
  • The main view now lets you see and filter all data without opening another level. You can still access detailed views by clicking “Details”.

2. E-commerce tracking

E-commerce tracking adds a completely new section to Trackboxx.
It lets you monitor and analyse your online shop’s performance.

Here’s what you can see:

  • Product revenue, both in total and broken down by shopping basket
  • Your best-performing days within the selected period
  • Top channels, such as Facebook
  • Your bestselling product
  • Sales figures by channel or referring website, country, UTM source, browser and device
  • Your most-viewed products
  • The pages visitors first landed on before making a purchase

The new e-commerce section already gives you a comprehensive view of your shop. You can filter all of the data.

We’ll keep improving e-commerce tracking over the coming weeks and months, with more features planned. Even at this stage, we’re proud of what we believe is a major step forward for privacy-compliant web analytics.

E-commerce tracking requires some additional setup on your website.
You’ll find instructions in our Help Centre.

For WordPress (WooCommerce) and JTL, the relevant plugin handles the setup automatically.

Plugins for PrestaShop, Shopware, Magento and other platforms will follow.

Updated pricing

One of the main criticisms of our pricing was that there were too many plans with too many different options.

With e-commerce tracking adding another feature to the mix, we’ve decided to simplify the entire pricing structure.

Here are the key changes:

  1. Two main plans: Basic and Business
  2. The Business plan includes e-commerce tracking and Google Search Console integration
  3. The Free plan will be limited to 1,000 pageviews
  4. An Agency plan is also planned, with unlimited users and websites plus additional features

Important: these pricing changes do not affect existing contracts. They apply only to new contracts or changes to your current contract.

That’s the overview of what’s changing.

This is a major update, so there may be a few issues to iron out over the coming days and weeks.

If you spot a bug, run into a problem or have a suggestion, send us a message in the chat. We’ll look into it straight away.
