Add the tracking script to WordPress manually

There are several ways to add the script to WordPress. Here are the most common options:

1. Add it via header.php

Add the script manually to your theme’s header file. Important: Use a child theme so your changes aren’t overwritten the next time the theme is updated.

2. Add it through your theme settings

Many themes include an option for adding code to the header. Popular examples include Avada, Divi and Enfold.

3. Add it to the Astra theme

Astra is one of the most popular WordPress themes, so it deserves a separate mention. Install the “Astra Hooks” extension and add the tracking code to the header as a hook.

4. Add it using a plugin

You can also add the tracking script using a suitable WordPress plugin.

Search for “WordPress tracking script plugin” to find a range of suitable options.

Important: E-commerce tracking requires additional configuration. We strongly recommend using the Trackboxx WordPress plugin for this.
